Automotive Gate Drive Optocoupler with R²Coupler™ Isolation

Avago's 2.5 Amp R²Coupler, Automotive Gate Drive Optocoupler features fast propagation delay with excellent timing skew performance. Smart features that are integrated to protect the IGBT include IGBT desaturation sensing with soft-shutdown protection and fault feedback, under voltage lockout and feedback and active Miller current clamping.

This full feature and easy-to-implement IGBT gate drive optocoupler comes in a compact, surface-mountable SO-16 package for space-saving. It is suitable for traction power train inverter, power convertere, battery charger, air-con and oil pump motor drivers in HEV and EV applications and satisfies automotive AEC-Q100 semiconductor requirements.

Avago R²Coupler isolation products provide the reinforced insulation and reliability needed for critical in automotive and high temperature industrial applications.
