Avago's gate drive R²Couplers are ideally suitable for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs used in motor control inverter applications. The voltage and current supplied by these optocouplers are suitable for direct driving IGBTs with ratings up to 1200 V/100 A. The R²Coupler have integrated features such as UVLO, fault status feedback, desaturation detection and IGBT soft shut down that protect the power devices during fault conditions. The R²Coupler are qualified according to AEC-Q100 test guidelines, operate at -40^oC to 125^oC, and are suitable for hybrid electric vehicle applications.  Avago R²Coupler provide reinforced insulation and reliability, and deliver safe signal isolation, that is critical in all automotive and high temperature industrial applications.
