This range of products is part of the Sensor Solution. Ambient Light photo sensors detect the amount of light available and signal as to whether or not backlighting is necessary and also control the turning on and off of the lighting system.

Avago offers both digital and analog ambient light photo sensors. Avago’s ambient light photo sensors outperform silicon photodiode light-detection solutions because their spectral response peaks at the same wavelength as the human eye. These ambient light photo sensors perform equally well with light sources ranging from natural sunlight to fluorescent, conventional incandescent, and halogen lamps.
