Reference Design kit for ADNS-5020-EN
The ADNK-5023-HTP2 is a design guide for building a cost effective PS/2 optical mouse using Avago's mainstream, small form factor ADNS-5020-EN optical mouse sensor and Holtek Semiconductor's HT82M35A-1002 masked microcontroller.
The Avago ADNS-5020-EN is a mouse sensor with many built-in features and optimized for LED-based corded products. It is capable of high-speed motion detection - up to 20ips and 2G. In addition, it has an on-chip oscillator and built-in LED driver to minimize external components. Frame rate is also adjusted internally.
The Holtek HT82M35A-1002 is designed as 3-key 3D PS/2 optical mouse controller. It provides serial interface to access the ADNS-5020-EN or compatible navigation sensors. A 2MHz RC oscillator is needed for system frequency.
