ADNS-9800
High-Performance LaserStream™ Gaming Sensor
The ADNS-9800 LaserStream™ gaming sensor combines a sensor and VCSEL in a single chip-on-board (COB) package. The ADNS-9800 provides enhanced features such as programmable frame rate, programmable resolution, configurable sleep and wake up time to suit various PC gamers' preferences.
This LaserStream™ gaming sensor is available in a 16-pin integrated COB package. It is designed to be used with ADNS-6190-002 small form factor (SFF) gaming laser lens to achieve the optimum performance featured in this document. These parts provide a complete and compact navigation system without moving parts. Laser calibration process is NOT required in the complete mouse form, thus facilitating high volume assembly.

- Motion input devices
Benefits [+-]
Compared to the last generation LaserStream™ gaming sensor, the ADNS-9800 offers dramatic improvements in high speed motion detection – up to 150ips and 30G. These are key performance parameters required when designing a professional gaming mouse. In addition, the resolution has been increased to allow for high precision tracking and cursor placement. The enhanced programmability found in the ADNS-9800 allows mouse makers to offer pro-gamers the ability to customize the gaming mouse to their unique style of play. An embedded, pre-calibrated VCSEL eases manufacturing complexity. A separate ADNS-6190-002 round lens is all that is necessary to complete the solution.
