MRI and CAT Scan Systems
Avago Technologies provides solutions for several areas of medical MRI and CAT scan systems. The patient table positioning systems use closed-loop feedback motors and require accurate motion and position information in order to accurately move and position the patient. Avago products suitable for motor control include IGBT gate drivers, digital optocouplers, and rotary encoders. The communication from the control unit to the RF and sense coils requires a large amount of image data to be transmitted in an electrically noisy environment. This is a good fit for Avago fiber optic transmitter and receivers.
