Industrial Valve Control
Avago Technologies provides solutions for industrial networking applications such as industrial valve control units. Optocouplers are used to maintain data integrity, thereby eliminating ground loop current and common mode noise. We also provide ultichannel and bi-directional optocouplers that operate at both 3V and 5V. Optocouplers will commonly be used where a copperbased network is being used.
To meet longer run networking needs, the Avago plastic optical fiber (POF) based solutions are a good fit because the fiber can be run very close to EMI producing devices without compromising the data link.
Control of the actual valve actuators (usually solenoids) is achieved using isolated relay coil drivers which provide electrical isolation.
