Elevator Control
Avago offers multiple products ideal for elements of an elevator control system. The motor controls require IGBT gate drivers and isolation amplifiers for the variable current and voltage rectifiers and inverters used in controlling the drive and door motors. Optical encoders are used in the door mechanisms, and digital optocouplers can be used to electrically isolate input lines into the control unit. Inside the elevator cars, illumination LEDs such as the Moonstone Series LEDs can be used for general illumination and ChipLEDs can be used for backlighting and indicator illumination while different size seven-segment displays are available for control panel indicators such as floor level.
