Light Bars

Light Bars are Avago Technologies’ innovative solution to fixed message annunciaton. They are used as annunciator that serves three customer functions: status indication, backlighting fixed messages and analog level indications (arrays).

The Light Bars provide exceptional brightness at very low drive current for those applications where portability and battery backup are vital. These rectangular light sources are configured in single-inline and dual-in-line packages that contain either single or segmented light emitting areas. They are also X-Y stackable.

Suitable for business machines, instrumentation, telecommunications, transportation and consumer applications.

Color Sensor & Color Management

For years, manufacturers have struggled with how to provide a sharper, more natural color tone for their LCD TV displays. Avago Technologies has solved this problem and is the first in the industry to introduce a breakthrough in plug-and-play Illumination and Color Management (ICM) solutions.

The Avago's ICM system solves the problem of flat-panel LCD TVs showing only 75 percent of true color tones and gradually losing color richness and brightness over time. ICM delivers 25 percent richer color tones than traditional LCD backlighting by using an array of red, green and blue LEDs. Because ICM is a closed-loop feedback system, it monitors the hue (color) and intensity (brightness) of the LEDs 100 times per second and then automatically adjusts the light output to ensure the right color point is achieved. This technology breakthrough allows television manufacturers to achieve true-to-life colors and maintain a set color point over the life of the TV display.
